Dr. Renn was elected to the American Psychological Association Division 20 (Adult Development and Aging) Executive Committee.

Dr. Renn will serve a 3-year term as a Member-at-Large for this national group devoted to the psychological study and well-being of older adults.

Vanessa Flores received a Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship from the UNLV Office of Undergraduate Research

Congratulations to Vanessa, our lead RA! She received monetary support and recognition for her ongoing research in our lab.

Lilla Brody received the Presidential Poster Award at the most recent American Geriatrics Society (AGS) annual meeting!

Lilla’s work on her first year project – a systematic review of psychotherapy clinical trials for depression and anxiety in older adults – was judged the top poster in the category of Neurologic & Behavioral Science. There were over 1,000 posters presented at AGS, so this is a true mark of distinction!

Rakshitha Mohankumar Receives Award from Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA!)

PhD student Rakshitha Mohankumar received a BIPoC Member Scholarship to attend the 2025 ADAA meeting and participate in ongoing mentoring through the Anxiety and Depression Association of America. We are proud of you, Rakshitha!

PhD student Rakshitha Mohankumar received a Summer Doctoral Fellowship and the Sastaunik Scholarship from UNLV. These are a testament to her research progress and academic record. Congratulations Rakshitha!

Dr. Brenna Renn receives the William Morris Award for Excellence in Scholarship, the College of Liberal Arts’ most prestigious research award!

Dr. Renn also previously received the “Excellence in Teaching & Mentoring Award” from the Department of Psychology in Spring 2024.
